Maintenance Of Garden............ Sreeja Ram Day to Day Activities The association of botany conducted various activities, and were classified under the following heads Flower of the Day (Euphorbia pulcherima) Flower of the day
The III DC Members of the Association exhibits a twig with flower along with its
Common name, Botanical name and its uses, in front of the Department everyday. Plant of the day
A plant (usually a potted one) of economical or commercial importance will be
exhibited in front of the department with its Common name, Botanical name, and its uses.
The formal inauguration of the association activities was held on 8.8.06 by Dr. Dennis Thomas
(Lecturer Selection Grade, Department of Botany, St. Thomas College, Palai.) at Sr. Savio Hall,
B.C.M College. The inagural speech of Dr. Dennis Thomas was entitled "Scope of Botany" and
was highly informative.He also mentioned the scope of Higher Education and employment after
graduation. Various Programs were held after the Inagural Ceremony. |  . | Flower of the Day Cleaning and Greening of Garden
The students of Botany posses the charge of the Botanical Garden and they clean, repot,
water and introduce new plants to the garden as and when required |

The association members are instructed to keep our surroundings clean especially from plastic and other nondegradable wastes. They spend time to clean ours as well as the neighbouring campus clean. | Charity Activities
Students collect an amount of money and donate it to the college charity fund.
Maintenance of Department Library
The students maintain a well classified Library of the Department and issues books from the collection by keeping an isssue register Maintenance of Charts and Specimens
The students always keep an eye to the shortage of materials in the specimens and its systematic arrangement. The Charts are also kept in an easily available form by the students of the association. Display of News / Special days
The students of the Association displays news / events / special days of importence etc on the Bulletin Board Thought of the day
The Students display Quotable Quotes of various personalites under the head "Thought of the day" on the Bulletin Board. | GENERAL ACTIVITIES The members of the Botany Association participated in various activies and cultural programmes conducted by the College Union, College, other Departments and various Institutions outside the College.The following are the Activites, and the Names of Students who have participated in those activites. |
