TECHNO WIZARDS

ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

Techno Wizards was established with a vision of moulding skilled and proffesionally motivated personals, equipped with the objective and critical thinking that compassionately foster the scientific temper, with a sense of social responsibility.
So far Techno Wizards have been a great success. It has a good record, as many students have been placed well in good IT Companies through Campus Placements. Apart from the curriculum and Lab training the Association conducts Quiz competitions, Team wise Competitions, Group Discussions, Cultural activities etc, which enhances Personality development, helps to acquire Up-To-date Knowledge in different subjects and builds confidence and thereby acquiring excellence in their career.

ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTER SCIENCE 2010-2011

The Computer Science Association, Technowizards of the Academic year 2010-2011 was unfurled on15^th September, 2010 honoured bythe presence of Dr. Sherimon P.C., Head of IT Section, Govt: Engineering College, Muscat who inaugurated the event. Rev. Fr. A.T. Mathew, Anathanam, director of Sun Infosys, Kottayam addressed the meeting. The new office bearers were selected and designated the following Posts.

Events

23 June, 2010: The Freshers were welcomed to the Techno wizards Association. Their display of variety
Talents made the program colorful.

29 July, 2010: A Personality development class was organised for the First Year students, which was
conducted by Mr. Abraham Stephen.

13 Aug, 2010: The department's Onam Celebration was held along with the College celebrations.

20 Aug, 2010: The 3^rd Year students conducted "ONAM SADHYA".

15 Sept, 2010: A Seminar on pervasive computing was conducted by Dr. Sherimon P.C.,
Head of IT Section, Govt. Engineering College, Muscat.

20 Oct, 2010: A Three day tour programme to Athirapally, Wayanadu, Ootty and Coimbatore was
conducted for the third year students.

Co-Curricular Activities

Our students secured 2nd prize in the dance competition - Nostalgia which was conducted as a part of the "Kerala Piravi" celebrations.
We also bagged a consolation prize for the "Athapookalam" Competition held during the Onam celebrations.

Seminars

A Seminar on pervasive computing was conducted on 15^th September 2010 by DR. Sherimon P.C., Head of I.T. Section, Govt. Engineering College, Muscat

Project Training
Java is the language most widely used in the industry today. Our students attended training program in this language from experts in the industry and they have done live projects (using Java as the front end) of leading firms in Kottayam like HDFC, D C Books, Parthas, Pala Marketing Company, Kottayam Public Library and DC MAT- School of Management.
