Economics Association 2006-2007

The Economic Association was inagurated on  19th  July 2006, by Justice K.T.Thomas. He also gave an enthusiastic talk on " Womens Rights ".  

As  a beginning of the activities for the year 2006-2007 our Teachers and students of IIIrd D.C and IInd D.C welcomed our 1st  D.C students on 17th July 2006. In order to share our happines sweets were distributed to   all the students.

DEBATE COMPETITION

A debate competition was held on 18th July 2006 between the students of IIIrd D.C and IInd D.C. Economics. The Topic of the debate was " WHEATHER WE NEED OLD AGE HOMES OR NOT".

Another debate competition was held on 15th November 2006 between the students of 1st , IInd, and IIIrd D.C Ecconomics. The Topic of the debate was "

ONAM CELEBERATIONS

On 18th August we had Onam Celeberations. Our students participated   in the Thiruvathira and Onam song Competitions. We secured second position in Onam Song.

EXCURSION

The students of IIIrd D.C went for an Excursion to Hyderbad from 14th September to 19th September 2006. It was a wonderful experience.

KERALA PIRAVI CELEBERATIONS

The Kerala piravi celeberation was held in our college on Monday, 18th November 2006.Our students have participated in Athappu Attahasam and Keralangana competitions. We secured second position in Athappu competitions.

CHRISTMAS CELEBERATIONS

On 7th December 2006 we held our Christmas Celeberations. Miss. Juliet Mani of Zoology Department had enligtened us with her Christmas Talk.

Activities

  • The Economics Association conducts co-curricular activities for the overall development of the students.
  • In August 2003 a talk by Dr. Leela Gopeekrishna on personality development was held by the association.
  • Visits to places Abhaya Bhavan, Navajeevan and Vimalagiri Church are conducted in order to give the students opportunities to have an awareness of the problems of the society.
  • Quiz Competitions are also held by the association.
