Activities    

Economic Association:

                       The economics association is the common platform for the economics students of BCM which aims at all round development of the students.   The inauguration of the Economic Association (2010-2011) was held on July 2010 by Prof. Murali Vallaban, the HOD of NSS College, Vazhoor.

The economic association is functioning very efficiently. The activities of the association are coordinated by a teacher and an executive Committee consisting of two student representative from each class.  

Through the efficient functioning of economic association we could ensure

1. Maximum student participation and involvement of extra curricular activities

2. Promotion of mutual understanding and cooperation among teachers and students of the department

3. Promotion of organizational skills as well as unite talents of students and provision of opportunities for the creative expression of their talent and skills

4. Attractive and suitable platform for the students and teachers to debate and discuss social issues which are not generally handled in the routine class room teaching

5. A  relation between the department and the world outside is thorough   visit to near by colonies , tours to different places , rescue homes, poor homes , hospitals etc.  

   The Association has conducted a debate competition for the students on the topic 'Tourism is essential for the Development of Kerala'.

   Quiz competition, seminars, Value based talks; Onam celebration, etc were also conducted by this association.   New Year was celebrated along with the inmates of Navajeevan. We also donated clothes to the inmates.

   The Association won the overall Trophy for sports. Salika of II DC emerged the best athlete of the college.
