This course is approved by the Government Kerala and Mahatma Gandhi University as a self financing programme from 2002-03.

The programme is of two years duration organized in four semesters with specialization in

1. Medical & Psychiatric Social Work.
2. Rural & Urban Community Development.

Eligibility: A degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or Law. Graduates in Arts subjects require 50% average marks whereas, Science and Commerce graduates require 55% average marks.

Admission is open to both boys and girls. The final selection of candidates will be based on the cumulative score obtained for the qualifying examination, entrance test, group discussion and interview, subject to reservations specified by the University and Government of Kerala. The number of seats in one batch is restricted to 20.
