Master of Social Work (MSW)
This course is approved by the Government of Kerala and Mahatma Gandhi University as a self-financing programme from 2002. The programme is of two years duration organized in four semesters with specializations in
1. Medical & Psychiatric Social Work.
2. Rural & Urban Community Development. 3. Family and Child Welfare
Eligibility: A degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or Law. Graduates in Arts subjects require 50% average marks whereas, Science and Commerce graduates require 55% average marks. Admission is open to both men and women. The number of seats in one batch is restricted to 30. Selection of the candidates will be based on the entrance examination conducted by M.G. University in June / July every year, application for which is invited during May / June. Admission is done from the rank list for 50% of seats by the university through counseling which is subject to reservation specified by University and Govt. of Kerala. Remaining 50% seats will be filled by the management directly (from the rank list). The final selection of candidates will be based on the cumulative score obtained for the qualifying examination, entrance test, group discussion and interview, subject to reservations specified by the University and Government of Kerala. |
