Honours and Awards of the department
This twin scholarships instituted in Mathematics in memory to our beloved retired professors Mrs. Meenakshykuttiyamma G. Nair and Mrs. Gracy Mathai. Mrs. Meenakshikuttiyamma Scholarship for the highest scorer in II B.Sc. (Maths) degree exam. Mrs. Gracy Mathai Scholarship for the highest scorer in I M.Sc. (Previous) exam.
From the year 2000 onwards Mr. Alexander Vellappally Memorial Scholarship is given to the students who score highest marks in B.Sc. (Maths) inthe final degree exam and in M.Sc. I semester exam. Dr. P. Mercy Mani U.G.C. Minor Research Project was awarded on 27.10.2003 [two years duration] entitled "Study on 'Chaos' exhibited by a chemical reaction system". Publications: P. | Achievements in Sports and Games
The following students of mathematics department brought achievements in their field of sports and games. Archana T. G M. G University Cricket Player in the years 2000-01 to 2003-04. M. G University Soft Ball Player in the years 2001-02 and 2002-03. She has been part of the college teams in their victories in the years 1999-2000 to 2002-03 in inter-collegiate matches in Cricket, Soft-ball and Hand-ball.

M. G University Cricket Player during the year 2001-02. She has been a member of the college teams and has played her part in winning several trophies in Cricket, Softball and Handball, during the years 1999-2000 to 2000-01.
Suni A Kalapurakal Neenu Kurien M. G University Table Tennis Player for the years 2001-02 to 2005-06. M. G University Badminton Player for the year 2003-03. She won the first prize in intercollegiate Table Tennis Championship during the years 2001-02 to 2004-05 and second prize in the year 2005-06.
| Cultural and Literary Achievements In the year 2003, Anju P Nair and Reshmi A. K of 1st year M.Sc won the first place in a quiz competition on Kerala History. Anju P Nair and Littymol Varghese of 1st year M. Sc won the first prize and Twinkle Kalam and Jaisamma Joseph of 2nd M.Sc won the 3rd place for Sr. Micheal Debate Competition. Anju P Nair and Littymol Varghese won the 1st place in a debate competition 'Samanvaya' conducted by M.S.W students. Jessy Jose of 2nd year M.Sc won the 1st prize for Mappila pattu in the College Arts Festival. Silpa Kuriakose, Diana P Binny, Neeu Kurien and Honey George are members of the dance team of the department association that has won prizes in competitions. In the year 2000, the quiz team of the department, (Alieen George, Remya A. K, Beena Raghavan, Reshmi Elizabeth George and Twinkle Kalam) secured the first place in quiz competition conducted by B.C.M College as well as S.B College, Changanachery. The team also won the 2nd prize from St. Thomas College, Pala, CUSAT Kochi, CMS College Kottayam and K.E College, Mannanam. In 2001, Remya A.K and Beena K Raghavan received prizes for their excellent performances at the All Kerala Quiz Competition. In 2002, Remya A.K and Beena K Raghavan won 1st prize in the intercollegiate quiz competition held at CMS College, Kottayam and S.B College Changanachery. In 2003 Asha Krishnan and Twinkle Kalam received 3rd place for inter collegiate Maths Quiz Competition held at Pala. In the year 2004, Anju P Nair &Reshmi A. K of 1st M. Sc got the 3rd place in the All Kerala Inter Collegiate Maths Quiz Competition.
