Specialties

The Faculty
At present the teaching staff is 72 in number with 7 PhDs and 9 MPhils among them. Several of our teachers are actively involved in research projects and other academic pursuits.

Tutorial System
The College follows an effective tutorial system which fosters a close personal relationship between the student and the teacher. Personal attention is provided by the tutors to the group of students in their care. Since the number of students in each 'tutorial group' is relatively small, an affection reminiscent of the Gurukul days is fostered between the student and the tutor.

Spiritual and Moral Enrichment
As a Christian institution, B.C.M. believes in imparting spiritual and moral values to its students along with academic learning. Regular lectures by spiritual leaders and classes by our own staff are conducted for the moral uplift of the students. Weekly prayer meetings are held under the guidance of the teachers outside class hours. Every year a week-long course of prayer, meditation and counselling for those who require it, is conducted with the help of a team of resource persons drawn from different walks of life.

The Women's Cell
The women's cell functions on the campus with the support of AIACHE. It is a forum for the resolution of grievances that women may have. It imparts legal awareness among student members. The women's cell concerns itself with all aspects of women's development. It conducts classes on various subjects like women and law, women's rights, women and mental health, health awareness programmes etc. for the benefit of the students.

Career Cell
The career cell focuses mainly on grooming students towards building a career. Career awareness programmes are conducted regularly.   A placement cell under the auspice of the cell offers placement to the students who pass out from the college.

Counselling
Counselling is arranged for students who are in need of it. The college has a qualified counsellor available to the students.
